It also serves as a key raw material in the production of refractory materials, high‑temperature resistant materials, wear‑resistant welding electrodes, metallic borides, boron alloys, engineering ceramics, and boron steel. Furthermore, densified boron carbide can be used to manufacture sandblasting nozzles, mechanical seals, and ballistic protection materials, among other products.
